About the author

Hilary Dervin Flower lives in Florida with her partner Ben and their two children Nora Jade (5) and Miles (3). She holds a B.A. in English from the University of Virginia and an M.A. in Geology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Tandem nursing her children provided the passion and curiosity that fueled her pursuit of this subject. Adventures in Tandem Nursing is her first book. Her essays have appeared in many magazine, including Mothering, Hip Mama, New Beginnings, Leaven, The Mother, Midwifery Today, Natural Parenting and APA News.

Hilary is currently working on a mothers' wisdom-based gentle discipline book for La Leche League International.
